About Remnant
The word, "remnant," is found in the Old Testament during a time when God's people were divided —the Kingdom of Israel in the North and the Kingdom of Judah in the South. Sin and idolatry pervaded both Kingdoms, invoking God’s impending judgment. However, there arose a small group of people who refused to turn from Him. They were the consecrated few. They were the "REMNANT OF GOD!"
In 2 Kings, the prophet, Isaiah, says that the Lord will ultimately spare His people because of this remnant. He goes on to say, "And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward (2 Kings 19:30 NKJV)."
As young people at Harvest Rock Church, we want to live out this verse: that as we consecrate ourselves, we would "take root downward" through intimacy with Jesus,
and "bear fruit upward" by loving like Jesus. We welcome you to be a part of REMNANT and all that the Lord is doing at Harvest Rock Church.
